Caramel Peanut Butter Dip

This dip is seriously AMAZING!  You could just eat it by spoonfuls!  It came from the Halloween Taste of Home cookbook that I think most of us have.  It's perfect with apples if you need to bring a fall treat anywhere!

Caramel Peanut Butter Dip
30 caramels
1 to 2 tablespoons water
1/4 cup plus 2 tablespoons creamy peanut butter
1/4 cup finely crushed peanuts (optional, I didn't use)
Sliced apples

In a microwave-safe bowl, microwave the caramels and water on high for 1 minute; stir.  Microwave 1 minute more or until smooth.  Add peanut butter and mix well; microwave for 30 seconds or until smooth.  Stir in peanuts if desired.  Serve warm with apples.
(you also may need to microwave it a few times while it's out, because it rehardens)
Make it, you'll be dreaming about it for days!

I lost count of how many times I made this this fall. It's awesome and addicting. Great on bananas too.
